"In September 2007, after being involved in the new fresh project of “Antares”, Sebastiano Benatti, Tommaso Mangione and Alex Stucchi set up “Dropshard”.
The main feature of the band is the sound. It is at the same time melodic and curate, like the long instrumental compositions typical of the progressive music.
Two years after their first debut, the band have been involved in various performances and in publishing two demos of unedited songs. In these years of training the ensemble was well established and reinforced with this framework : Enrico Scanu Vocalist, Sebastiano Benatti guitarist, Alex Stucchi, bassist , Tommaso Selleri keyboard player and Tommaso Mangione drummer.
With this line-up Dropshard began a new range of concerts, debuting their new songs and a few historical covers from the Progressive music genre, receiving a great response from the audience.
The increasing success of public and critic drove the band to participate to the “Woodstock Metal Race”, an important Progressive Musical event . They won the first prize competing with more than 40 bands.
Now the Dropshard are working on their first CD which includes a 4/5 part suite along with bonus track Freedom Supermarket which can be heard on the bands website.

But these are just words let the Music play..."
